In
the morning we pass through Thermopolis. It is Sunday, and in front
of the local hot spring we find a big oldtimer car parade. About 100
cars are lined up, and oldie music is playing loud. That is something
for me !
More than an hour later we go on to Cody, where we fill up
the gas tank (from now on it will get more expensive) and buy
groceries.
A
few miles west of Cody the Shoshone River is dammed for the Buffalo
Bill Reservoir. Along the lake stretches Buffalo Bill State Park with
two basic campgrounds. Here we stay overnight to enter Yellowstone
National Park early next morning. The sun is shining, it's warm, but
unfortunately the breeze is so strong that we have to stay inside the
motorhome.
