Überführung beendet, die Reise beginnt

12. Juni: Viel zu früh bin ich am Flughafen; um 16.05 Uhr kommt endlich B. an. Mit dem shuttle-Bus fahren wir zum Parkplatz, der kostet hier nur $1 pro Stunde. Kurz nach fünf geht es dann los. Und schon geraten wir in einen Riesenstau; 20 Minuten lang geht es nur im Schritttempo voran. Daher kommen wir erst um 19 Uhr am Boyd Lake State Park an, rd. 60 Meilen nördlich von Denver. Auch hier außer der Übernachtungsgebühr von $20 wieder $8 für einen day pass nur für die kurze Zufahrt zum Campingplatz.

Transfer finished, the journey begins

June 12: Much too early I am at the airport, at 16.05 B. finally arrives. We take the shuttle back to the parking lot, the parking fee here is only $1/hour. A little after 5 pm we are on the road. And after a few minutes we are in a huge traffic jam, for twenty minutes it is stop and go only. So it's 7 pm until we arrive at Boyd Lake State Park, about 60 miles north of Denver. Here, too, besides the overnight fee I have to buy an $8 day pass for the short drive to the campground.
